VICTORIA – Supporters gathered at Olympic View Golf Club today to applaud the announcement of Randall Garrison’s (Esquimalt-Juan de Fuca) bill to end the longstanding discrimination against golf as a tax deductable business expense. 

VICTORIA – Today the Conservative dominated Transportation Committee voted down an opportunity to support funding to get the E&N railway up and running once again.  The Committee voted down a request for funding rail infrastructure.

TORIES BREAK ELECTION PROMISE TO VANCOUVER ISLAND FISHING INDUSTRY

OTTAWA – Fisheries and Oceans Critic Fin Donnelly is calling on Stephen Harper and Minister of Fisheries and Oceans Keith Ashfield to honour their promise to local fishermen on Vancouver Island.

Last spring, the Prime Minister campaigned on Vancouver Island, promising that quotas for the recreational and commercial fisheries in 2012 would be announced by the end of 2011. That has not yet happened.
